I’m rostered but can’t work / no longer available

If you have been rostered onto a shift which you can no longer work, you have multiple options:

  • Swap – You can swap your shift with someone else at the same service - See how here.
  • Give – You can give your shift to someone else at the same service - See how here.
  • Drop – You can request to drop your shift - See how here.


All of these actions can be performed in the Ento Employee app.


For swaps and gives, you must get verbal confirmation from the other employee before requesting this in the app. The other employee must accept the change before its finalised.


Any drops will be pending until manager approval. Shift drops can only be done if your shift is more than 24 hours away. For anything within 24 hours, you will need to call your manager.

It is also important to submit unavailability for any times you’re unable to work - See how here.
This will ensure you’re not rostered on for any shifts you can’t work.
