I feel unwell and can’t come into my shift tomorrow. What do I need to do?

If you are an Educator

  • If your shift is less than 24 hours away you will need to call the Director of Service and Staffing (03) 8533 9996. You will also need a valid reason and a medical certificate given the timeliness of the shift change. 
  • If your shift is more than 24 hours away, you can use the Drop Shift feature directly in the ENTO app. This will notify the Staffing Team that the shift is now available for others to pick up.


    To drop a shift:

        1. Open your ENTO app

        2. Go to the ‘My Shifts’ section

        3. Select the shift you no longer wish to work

        4. Tap the ‘Drop Shift’ button

        5. Confirm the drop


    Once dropped, the shift will be available in the Fill-Ins section for other educators to pick up. If the shift is within 24 hours, you must give the Staffing Team a quick call just to make sure we’re aware.


If you are a DOS/RP

  • Contact your regular RP’s/DOS’s at other services to find an RP to cover you. 
  • Please send them the handover document and ensure they sign the person in day to day charge form and the RP agreement form.
