What is an ISE shift?

Modified on Fri, 1 Dec, 2023 at 7:51 AM

Inclusion Support Educator (ISE) roles are put onto the roster when we have one more more children with additional needs. We receive funding from the government which allows us to roster another educator on to lower the overall ratio of the program.

The purpose of this shift is no different to a normal educator shift. The shift is labelled differently to distinguish the extra staff the service is required to have. These shifts do not require any 1 on 1 with children or require extra qualifications.
