Summer Vacation Care (VAC) dates can vary between services, some begin earlier in December, while others don’t start until late December or even January. The exact dates depend on each school and service’s requirements.
When it comes to securing shifts for VAC, we recommend reaching out directly to the services you’re interested in working at, or filling out the Staffing Availability Survey once it’s sent out. Service Directors are responsible for creating their own VAC rosters, so it’s best to email them directly with your availability over the December–January period to express your interest.
Once the Directors finalise their rosters, the Staffing Team will step in to fill any remaining gaps using the responses from the availability survey. Please note, the survey does not mean you are guaranteed shifts everyday you're available, hence why it is important to get into the DOS whilst they are doing their rosters. The survey will be sent out in the next few weeks.
